For the immediate fixing of heavy ceiling elements (ceiling mouldings / rosettes) without time-consuming fixation or waiting times

PROPERTIES

  • Extremely fast build-up of final strength
  • Very high final strength
  • Permanently elastic
  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
  • Can be painted over (test beforehand)
  • Good gap-filling ability
  • Temperature resistant from -40°C to +100°C
  • UV, water and weather resistant
  • 100% adhesive (shrink-free)
  • Bonds to slightly damp surfaces
  • Solvent-free
  • Excellent adhesion without primer
  • Acid-free, odourless

WHAT DOES IT DO?

SUITABLE FOR:

  • Bonding: e.g. glass, stone, natural stone, concrete, plasterwork, many plastics, wood, chipboard, Trespa®, iron, aluminium, zinc, steel, stainless steel and other metals, ceramic tiles, cork and mirrors.
  • Fixing: e.g. skirting boards, tongue-and-groove boards, battens, window sills, thresholds, fascia boards, sheet material, insulation material, plasterboard, polystyrene ornaments and mouldings.
  • Sealing: e.g. skirting boards, (plastic) window frames, stair treads, window sills, thresholds and plasterboard. Also suitable for sealing cracks in walls and ceilings.

BEFORE USE:

Processing conditions

Only use at temperatures between +5°C and +40°C.

Surface requirements

Both parts must be firm, clean and free of dust and grease. No primer needed. The surface may be slightly damp.

Tools

Apply the cartridge with a sealant gun (for example the Bison Power Pistol). If necessary, use a rubber mallet to tap the material into place.

Preparing the product

Before use, open the cartridge at the top by cutting off the plastic nipple above the thread with a sharp knife. Then attach the nozzle and cut it at an angle to the desired diameter.

DURING USE:

Handling the packaging

Bonding and fixing: cut the nozzle to a diameter of at least 0.5 cm. Sealing: cut the nozzle at an angle, depending on the desired joint width.

Instructions for use

  • Bonding and fixing: apply the sealant in strips or dabs (every 10-40 cm), and always at corner points and along the edges of sheet material. Place the material in the right position within 10 minutes and press firmly or tap lightly with a rubber mallet. Clamp or fix heavy materials for 4 hours if necessary. Hand-firm after 30 minutes (the bond is then strong enough for transport or light loads); maximum final strength after approx. 4 hours, depending on the substrate and ambient conditions.
  • Sealing: apply the sealant evenly to the bottom of the joint and smooth it within 10 minutes with a damp (soapy water without lemon) putty knife, sealant smoother or finger. Smooth vertical joints from bottom to top. Fully cured after a few days (depending on layer thickness). When painting over with alkyd paint, the paint may dry more slowly.

Points of attention

The drying times below are based on bonding at least one porous material with an adhesive layer approx. 1 mm thick. When bonding two non-porous materials and/or using a thicker adhesive layer, considerably longer drying times must be expected.

AFTER USE:

Stains / residues

Use turpentine to clean tools and to remove wet adhesive residues. Dried adhesive residues can only be removed mechanically.

Storage conditions

Store tightly closed in a dry, cool and frost-free place.
